Ten Indictments for the Modern Church-Paul Washer

Paul Washer delivers a timely message on the plight of the church today. I have witnessed as Paul has said here younger men all over the world that are digging deep in the Word of God, studying and reading the old theologians like Spurgeon, Tozer, Ravenhill, Lloyd Jones, Whitefield, Edwards, Owens, Boston, Augustine, Campbell, Flavel, and more. Young men are being drawn back by God to the core foundations of the faith. Many young men all over the world proclaiming authentic Christianity are not pulled into the humanistic lie of the Emergent and Seeker friendly philosophies. They are pulled into a God centered biblical theological doctrine sometimes called Reformed Theology or 5 Point Calvinism…either way, it is the truth of God’s Word. Watch and listen carefully. Come back to see it over and over. Personally, I will watch and listen many times as well. I need the constant reminder of the direction God is taking us and what His Scriptures are telling us. Search, dig, and act accordingly.

Yes, Anthony…God is being praised and glorified in this message. As I set here thinking and contemplating Christmas it is difficult to be positive when our world has fallen for the devils lies. However, that is not to get us down, but to push us forward even harder to trust our God. We are to realize that He is in control and is working His perfect plan to the end. Now, Reformatienl….I want to address Romans 1:18 that you have quoted out of context. The Gentiles were denying the truth of God’s Word. They were replacing God with idols of animals, birds and such. They were denying the power and glory of Jesus Christ. This was not intended to be used because I won’t allow a lying tongue to spread fictious information about a man of God. If you were speaking the truth of God’s Word I would allow your comments on this blog, but you are not and I will not allow it. The misuse of God’s Word is not good and you are misusing God’s Word to advance your own agenda. Willful ignorance by the Gentiles was that God’s truth in His Word was revealed to them, but they denied the power and reality of it for their own way….this has nothing to do with someone not allowing your indictments against Paul Washer. You have used God’s Word out of context and that will not be allowed on this blog either. Use God’s Word (The Bible) carefully with the intent of lifting someone up not in a way negative way to push them down or drowned them out.
Here God is revealing that all men have fallen and are short of His glory. The abusive use of God’s Word is no light manner. Anyone can take verses out of their context and make it fit whatever situation they wish. I certainly wish you had not done that. As a young Believer I did the same thing, but the years have given way to the understanding that we must handle God’s Word with much care and only using it in accordance with the context it was written….the writer had one intention in what was written by the perfect inspiration of God. PLease, please, please, be careful when quoting Scripture.

Romans 1:16

Romans 1:18 The wrath of God refers to his personal anger against sin. God’s anger is not selfish or arbitrary but represents his holy and loving response to human wickedness. Some have understood God’s wrath in impersonal cause-effect terms, but this betrays a deistic worldview rather than a biblical one (per ESV commentary)….which was at the time of this writing and the same today…idolatry. Back at the time of this writing it was images or idols built by the hands of men…today we can include money, cars, houses, “stuff” as well as images made by men in that catagory. We finding God revealing His righteousness before men and contrasting that with man’s wickedness.
Now, I am not denying God or the power He has…I believe God’s Word is true from Genesis to Revelation…every word. I don’t think Paul Washer, John MacArthur, or John Piper are denying that either and they each believe the same way. All of them have preached a very tough message against the liberalism of the SBC and other churches like the Emergents and Seeker friendlies. So, I am not sure what beef you have them and now have tried to plant on me…but you have alot of soul searching to do…you have been presented with truth after truth from God’s Word and you have not responded to it, only more accusations and hateful arrogant remarks. I am not perfect, that I will admit and have to ask my Lord’s foregiveness everyday, but only one has walked this earth that was perfect, Jesus Christ.

Romans 1:16-32
16I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. 17For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last,[a] just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”[b]
God’s Wrath Against Mankind
18The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
21For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.
24Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.
26Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. 27In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.
28Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. 29They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.
If you are calling me wicked for spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ and the many others that sacrifice daily to do the same, then you have no comprehension of “wickedness”…I will not stop sharing the gospel, the truth of God’s Word just because you do not comprehend the Word of God yourself.
May the Lord have mercy on you and His grace become real to you someday.

Reformatienl: The message is called “TRUTH”…God’s Word is “TRUTH”…you need to go to the Bible and study it in context…that message is straight from God’s Word…from several translations, but they all agree with each other…from the Geneva to the ESV. Questions: Do you deny that God’s Word is TRUTH? Do you deny that Jesus Christ is the savior of His lost sheep and the Lord of our lives? Are you denying that Jesus is our Shepherd (those who are of His elect-the lost sheep of this world)? Do you deny that Jesus Christ came and died on a nasty rugged cross so that His people would not have to go through that kind of pain and torture? Do you deny that Christ is risen from the cold dark grave of death and did it in 3 days as was prophesied? Do you deny that Christ was a perfect sinless human while at the same time God? Do you deny that God is sovereign over the affairs of His people? I certainly hope you believe in each of these points, because if you don’t it is a very sad day for you. At this moment all you have done is attack, attack, and attack with no substance over nothing…nothing Biblically in context with the Word of God either. I have no clue what you believe or who you believe in and have asked you several times about it, but all you do is start lying about me and coming after me and saying vile trash that has no place here…you know in who I believe in…the living awesome greatest supreme sovereign Lord…the One the Bible talks about.
“The chief end of man is to glorify God BY enjoying Him forever.” -John Piper. You really need to find this God, so that you can have true joy in your life and enjoy Him forever. I really want to encourage you to stop and think seriously about what you have been saying and doing. If you are a Believer then your battle is not against me, Paul Washer, John MacArthur, John Piper, Chuck Swindoll, Spurgeon, Edwards, Packer, Flavel, Calvin, Knox, Boston, Baxter, Farrar, Mahaney, or anyone of the like…your battle is against the prince of the air and the powers in the darkness. However, if you are not a true Believer then you will probably keep on attacking anyone who preaches and teaches the truth…in that case nothing I can do for you.

The Picture of a Prophet!
“The Prophet in his day is fully accepted by God and totally rejected by men. Dr. Mantle once said, ‘No man can be fully accepted until he is totally rejected.’
Any group, challenged by the Prophet because they are smug and comfortably insulated from a perishing world in their warm but untested theology, is not likely to vote him ‘Man of the Year’ when he refers to them as habituates of the synagogue of Satan.
The Prophet’s work is to call into line those who are out of line! He is unpopular because he opposes the popular in morality and spirituality. In a day of faceless politicians and voiceless preachers, there is not a more urgent national need than that we cry to God for a Prophet.
The Prophet to God’s detective seeking for a lost treasure. The degree of his effectiveness is determined by his measure of unpopularity. Compromise is not known to him. He has no price. He is totally ‘otherworldly’ (Biblical World View always). He is unquestionably controversial and unpardonably hostile. He marches to another drummer. He breathes the rarefied air of imspiration. He is a ’seer’ who comes to lead the blind. He lives in the heights of God and comes into the valley with a ‘thus saith the Lord’. He shares some of the foreknowledge of God and so is aware of impending judgement. He is ordained of God but disdained by men.” -Leonard Ravenhill (1907-1994)

Actually, I am witnessing Romans 1:18 in your constant arrogant and menicing comments “Reformatienl”…the truth is found in God’s Word not men…study His Word and stop the worship and disappointment found in men…if you put so much into what men say you will be attacking people the rest of your life and unhappy and have no joy as you are right now. You are digging an aweful hole for yourself with your condemnations and legalism. I am not now nor have I have ever suppressed truth…I am speaking of truth, real truth not opinions or philosophy of man. I do however suppress a lying tongue on my blog and anywhere I can stop it. As Proverbs 17:7 states “Arrogant lips are unsuited to a fool…” Another great Scripture for you to listen to is: Psalm 109:2 “for wicked and deceitful men have opened their mouths against me; they have spoken against me with lying tongues.”
Finally, I leave you with this warning: Proverbs 12:19 “Truthful lips endure forever, but a lying tongue lasts only a moment.” My trust and belief in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, that God is Supreme and Sovereign, that the power to save man is only found in God Almighty through the miraculous work of the Holy Spirit to draw men to Himself will always be true regardless what you think and say. I find nothing holy or righteous in anything you say or do…you have only attacked and tried to spew something fictious about another man…if what you have said about Paul Washer or anyone else is found to be true, so what….it still does not change the fact that the message is simple….Repent of your sins, accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and serve the Lord with gladness…this can only be done when God draws you….man is totally depraved and unrighteous and will not come to Christ if the decision is left to men….the Holy Spirit has to do the work in a man’s person first. You can stay with the crowds heading down the broad road if you like…the warning though would be to open your eyes to see your are not on the narrow road….you are galiantly and willing strolling down the road everyone else is on…the road that leads to Christ is the road less travelled, the road that is narrow and difficult…Matthew 7:13-14 only a few will find this narrow gate…Jesus has said this Himself….read it.
I will be praying for you no matter and actually already have been…attacking me or other godly men is not the way. Jesus did not go around attacking people sharing the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ….he only attacked the Pharisees who were legalistic and attacked the godly men of their day….he attacked those lying tongues. I truly hope you find the peace in Christ you so desparately seek….
You must be either of the Ermergent movement or seeker friendly movement or something like that, but you are not of God’s movement. I am trying my hardest to be careful with you since you stated you are new to this, but you continue to dig that hole deeper and deeper.
