-The Vastness of God’s Love!

Posted by Scott on September 24, 2007

I find myself these days just lost in His vastness.  When I set down to ponder on all the things of God.  What has He created?  What does He do to keep the world or even the universe in balance?  What are the complexities of His creation?  How is it that He is sovereign?  What is the elect?  What is predestination?  How could He determine before the world existed who would live with Him eternally and who would not?  How, how, how and why, why, why?

Psalm 8:3-4 “When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have ordained; what is man that you art mindful of him?”

Charles Spurgin once said, “As well might a gnat seek to drink in the ocean, as a finite creature to comprehend the eternal God.”

What a verse and what a quote.  It is just awe inspiring to set back under a tree and ponder on God.  Just think about Him.  Try to remove the world from your thoughts for a moment to comprehend God….we cannot comprehend Him nor can we put Him in a box.  So, for me to understand these complexities is an eternal adventure I am enjoying.
